Featured Series: First Camp

Hosted by The Outsiders Store and Snow Peak in association with The Good Life Society, a first time collaboration brought them together for the First Camp event. Based at the Howarden Estate in North Wales, First Camp signals the inaugural camp out of the year.

Set between two castles of national significance the site offer an award winning Farm Shop offering the best seasonal local food and drink. The camp site boasts full access to washing facilities, including toilets and showers. However if you want to keep in true camping style and fancy a quick dip, there is a natural wild swimming lake just a few steps from the site.

A weekend spent embracing collective values and unplugging from day to day life,  First Camp certainly did not disappoint from start to finish. It was truly a special weekend filled with fellow like-minded campers and outdoor enthusiasts coming together for a mutual love of the outdoor experience. 

Upon arrival, each guest received a welcome pack filled with a selection of practical gifts for the weekend, from Snow Peak titanium mugs to heavy duty Stanley flasks - the team had everyone covered. The weekend was well organised with workshops and craft activities, if you wish to participate or just kick back and soak in the natural setting, the weekend had something for all. 

Greater Goods x Osprey hosted a bottle holder workshop, reusing off-cuts Osprey materials to create bottle holders where guests were taken through the process from picking off-cut materials of their choice to design and sew it themselves (or leaving it to the Greater Goods team to sew).

All guests were given the option to rent Snow Peak equipment, from an array of tents and fire pits to use throughout the weekend, giving guests the unique opportunity to experience first hand the beautifully crafted equipment which was nothing short of impressive. This was an added bonus if you do not wish to load the car with too much equipment! Their activities included a live fire-pit cooking demo, pour over coffee station and a family fun egg and spork race, where the winners received a handcrafted Snow Peak Titanium Aurora Flask.

Overall, First Camp was a weekend with high expectations that did not disappoint. Thank you to Outsiders Store and Snow Peak for hosting an exceptional weekend and for giving everyone the opportunity to connect and experience camping in a unique and memorable setting.
