The story of Kanemasa Phil begins in Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture, in 1964, where the brand first specialised in circular knitting. What sets them apart is their use of rare high-gauge circular and jacquard machines, tools capable of producing custom-made knitwear with exceptional depth and clarity. Yet, beyond the machines, it’s the craftspeople who bring them to life that define the brand, making Kanemasa synonymous with high-gauge knitwear of the finest quality.

In 2021, Kanemasa launched its own label with a clear idea at its core: Future Classic / Future Vintage. The aim was simple. To create clothing that feels right for now, but is made to last well into the future. Instead of transient trends, the brand emphasises fabric, construction, and craftsmanship, creating pieces intended to endure, with a quiet balance of innovation and timeless sensibility.

The AW25 collection builds on this foundation with pieces that explore texture and structure in equal measure. Knits hold a distinct weight without compromising on softness or definition, patterns remain understated yet distinctive, and silhouettes are refined and versatile, designed to easily slip effortlessly into any wardrobe with added charm and character.
